every time I wear a baseball cap I think everyone in the room can tell I don’t usually wear hats, but alas to me you look like you wear hats with abandon! it’s all in our heads!

Exactly how I feel! My bf wears caps so well it's like they're part of him.

What works for me regarding caps and bangs: I like to have the bangs peeking through underneath the brim of the cap, so I tend to wear it a bit higher on the forehead or go for smaller caps with a straight brim. My bangs do get all flat and mushed up by the end of the day, so I tend to wear caps when they are a bit weird or dirty looking.

I usually wear the cap with bangs out - always on a hair washing day. It's hard when your fringe starts to grow out and the cap pushes your hair into your eyes. Desperately need to cut them!

absolutely love the marni shirt & the black balloon skirt 🖤 i’ve been slowly getting rid of the super colorful pieces in my wardrobe because they are hard to style but this makes me realize i do still love a statement top :’)) congrats on the new job kayla !!!

Thanks Emilee, I'm very excited. The Marni shirt and balloon skirt were actually what I wore to the interview so it's a very lucky outfit combo!

Congrats on the new job! As a fellow remote worker, I really do hope it is worth the office days for you! Looking forward to more silly little outfits. Funnily enough, I've also just sent off an Ancestry kit but I had no idea about these traits?! Can't wait to see what obscure, slightly off-putting traits I've been dealt.

Thanks Kate I'm really excited! Love remote work so v. happy I can be flexible. The traits were so funny. Some were on the money but others weren't - I got unlikely to take naps or own pets. Dead wrong

ok i am reading didion and babitz too and while i'm really interested in those writers/the era they wrote about, i also found the author's writing style to be difficult to read through. like the stylistic use of repetition...idk i found it clunky and distracting

Interested to hear what you think! I also love this era and was so excited to read it, but could do without the constant "dear reader."

I love your most hated silly little outfit so much -- but very much support wearing more of what makes you feel like you!

Aw thanks Kate! x

I don't think your "nope" outfits are that bad! In fact, I think they're lovely! I love the Marni shirt and agree that untucking it fully is awesome (but it also looks good tucked!).

Congrats on the new job, Kayla! You will rock and kick ass!

Hahaha thanks Sheila I'm probably too critical and wrote this a few glasses of wine deep last night. The last combo just didn't feel right for me but considering how meh I've been feeling lately I'm happy I got dressed and left the house! ❤️ thank you for your kind words x

Oh, I totally get that. I often find with my blog, that if I’m feeling bad about an outfit and withhold my own opinion, my readers give me the truth. 💕
